Earth has only one Moon, but is a big one! Earth's Moon is the fifth largest in the whole solar system, yet is smaller than Earth, so that objects weigh less on the Moon than here. Therefore, astronauts have enjoyed their jumps on the lunar surface.
Even if the moon has no liquid water, it has seas and land on its surface. There are also many interesting features such as craters, mountain ranges and lava plains. Moon's interior is composed of different layers of rock, some solid and some molten like lava. By studying the Moon's surface and interior, geologists can learn about its geological history and formation.
